Daniele Massella joined CMAS Lab in 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow. His research interests include fiber coatings, surface engineering and production of polymeric nanoparticles. Particularly he focuses on the application of colloids and surface sciences toward the production of bicomponent fibers.

Daniele Massella completed his PhD in 2020 in the frame of the Erasmus Mundus International Doctorates program in Sustainable Management and Design of Textiles (SMD-Tex). He conducted his doctoral research on the production of biofunctional textiles in Politecnico di Torino, Lille University and Soochow University. Before that, he received his Master's degree in textile engineering and Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering at Politecnico di Torino. He is a member of the Italian Order of Engineers.
