Fasel, Urban

Urban Fasel obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at ETH Zürich. During his studies, he gained work experience at Hokkaido University in Sapporo and at Tsuneishi Shipbuilding in Hiroshima. He also studied one semester at the University of Tokyo where he wrote his Semester’s thesis under the supervision of Prof. Takahashi. He concluded his studies at the Compliant Systems Group at ETH with a Master’s thesis entitled “Analysis and Manufacturing of a Morphing Bi-Stable Wing”. At the CMAS lab, Urban is part of the Aerospace Structures Group working in the field of morphing wings and their application for airborne wind energy.
